Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he commanded, and they were created: Psalm 148:5 KJV
God is the creator of all things beautiful. When we look around us and marvel at the breath-taking and inexplicable beauty of nature and all its resources, we are reminded that the one who created and commanded these things in their respective places is far greater than all the creation put together.
God is so magnificent that He made everything out of nothing. The Psalm reiterates the fact that the Lord our God is in command. He has sole authority over the heavens and the earth. He spoke and all was created. God commanded all things into creation.
Let us therefore rejoice in the assurance that God is still in command, in command of our lives, our situations, our finances, our relationships. our health. He continues to be in complete control of all His creation. He did not forsake us after creating us and He never will.
Mathew 6:26 says “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
If God is so mindful of even the birds He created, than how much more does He care for you and me.The same God who commanded and created birds, created us.
Therefore, brothers and sisters, let us take heart in the irrefutable fact that even in challenging times like the one we are in at present, our faithful God is in control and commands our praise. “Let everything that has breath, give Him praise.” This may sound cliched but it is true that if you are created, then God commanded you to be, hence give Him all the praise He deserves, for He commands it.
