Psalms 46:5 – “God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.”
Wouldn’t it be nice to always have someone by our side, to guide, assist and watch over us as we go about our day? While it’s not practically possible to have another human being at our side 24 hours a day, the Bible promises us something better. When we believe in Jesus and seek to follow Him, God Himself comes to dwell in us.
The Holy Spirit is our constant guide and companion. He is always available to help, comfort and counsel us. But do we recognise His presence in our day to day lives? You can live the abundant life by acknowledging God right at daybreak, and all through the day.
As the Psalmist points out in today’s verse, when God is with us, the circumstances of our lives will not move us. When we remain in fellowship with God from dawn to dusk, we have the assurance that He will help us, come what may. The next time you see the sun rise, take a moment to pause and thank God for His presence in your life. It truly will be a blessed day!
