Psalm 145:17
The Lord is righteous in all His ways, gracious in all His works.
This verse highlights God’s perfect justice and faithfulness in both His character and His actions. It reminds us that God is truly holy and merciful in all that He does. His actions are consistently just, moral, and upright, even when His ways are sometimes difficult for us to understand. He is loving, merciful, and faithful in all His ways. That is why we can call on Him with confidence, assured that He will deal with us in justice, love, and mercy, and whatever we surrender to Him will be handled with righteousness and grace.
The word “all” emphasizes that there are no exceptions. Every path God takes and every deed He performs aligns with His character. He always does what is morally perfect and consistent with His Word. God desires to be involved in our lives so that we may know Him more deeply. His righteousness and holiness do not make Him distant; rather, His grace and mercy make Him a reliable refuge.
In an unpredictable world where human systems often fail, this verse reminds us that God’s actions are always rooted in unwavering faithfulness. The world may forget or disregard us, but God never has and never will. His righteousness is always expressed through kindness. He doesn’t just do what is right in a legal sense, but also what is loving in a relational sense. He is actively working for our good, even when we cannot see it. His ultimate plan for us is always fair and good.
Today, let us approach God with reverence and holy awe. Let’s take time to actively remember God’s goodness towards us in the past and allow it to draw us into a deeper relationship with Him.
