I Corinthians 13:4-5: Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.
Love is patient and kind. It is not jealous. Love does not brag and is not arrogant, does not act unbecomingly, does not seek its own, is not easily provoked and bears all things. All these are supposed to be the characteristics in a person who profess to be a child of God. Not everyone has all these characters. There is only one person who possessed all these in His life, and that person is our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
God is love. He came in the form of Jesus and showed us what love actually is. He never lost His patience with anyone, never stopped loving His disciples until His crucifixion. He never looked down upon the tax collectors or immoral people in the society. He welcomed everyone just as they were. On the cross when He was bleeding to death, He still asked His Father to forgive them who had crucified Him. There is nobody on earth who can ever do what Jesus did. He is the perfect figure of love. We have to try and be like Jesus and treat everyone with patience and kindness. Never be jealous of anyone. Never think bad of anyone.
God wants us to cultivate a perfect and a healthy attitude with those around us. Love like how Jesus loved. He did not criticize anyone who came to Him. People found Him as a different rabbi or a teacher. Let us love like Jesus.
