Proverbs 1:33: But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely and shall be quiet from fear of evil.
A baby will always crawl but whilst he does that, he is always looking for arms to cuddle him, to support him, to nourish him and to take care of him. As the baby grows up into being a toddler his nature of wanting that same warmth does not leave him. He still looks for the same support and a hug from his loved ones. As he grows into being a teenager and then later an adult child, he clings to everything and anything that gives him the love and security he needs. All of us no matter what age, what color, what background look for the same thing that baby wishes. Love.
Many a time we are wrecked in relationships, in families, in friendships, in acquaintances and even with strangers. We do not hold on to them and look for better and more comfortable pastures. Why? Cause we are hurt, broken, disappointed and let down.
In all of these circumstances, there is someone who stands out and leans in. Jesus. He walks right through to you but if only you will allow. We have all the time in the world to believe and trust people who we can see and yet we fall short of understanding them and get hurt. Give Jesus a chance and the journey he promises is even better than the bucket list we all so often wish to do in life. The bucket list he will create for you will be more enthralling than a million places in the world. His sense of healing, wise counsel, teaching and encouragement will change your life and everything you do. There will be joy in silence and peace in the quietness of chaos and confusion. You will have found – the place of love.
