Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 13:11 KJV
As children of God, we are set apart from the rest of the world, but we have seen in nature that God makes His creatures well suited for the environment they will inhabit in. A fish has gills, a bird has wings, and a bear has fur.
We do not have gills to live in water, nor do we have wings to live in the air. Mankind was made for the garden, a garden where people do not hurt each other, where illness will not steal our loved ones, the garden where one does not have to struggle to put food on the table. So it should not seem strange when we feel out of place in a world filled with sin, where we were not made for this environment. But there awaits for us a new garden… a home we call heaven, so beautiful that the description overwhelms our ability to even imagine it. While we live on earth, a place where we don’t really belong, what could one possibly do?
Well, God revels in the worship that is lavished upon Him. He is blessed when His children reflect on Who He is and they offer their praise to Him. It is through this do we experience the presence of God through a lifestyle of worship. Is our God not great? While He did not want heaven without us.. He brought heaven down for us through Jesus and left behind His holy spirit to dwell among us.
Our wonderful God, has given us the intimate experience and insight into the hidden truths and mysteries of the realm of heaven’s kingdom. Because His presence is heaven to us.
