Now is the Time

2 Corinthians 6:2

He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

We acknowledge that our life in this world is uncertain. In the midst of this uncertainty, we have an anchor that we can hold on to – God. If we accept Lord Jesus as our personal Savior, He will be our guide. He will lead us and turn our uncertainty and chaos into assurance and harmony.

This verse in the Holy Bible is inviting us to do exactly that. It is encouraging us to act now, not after life settles down or when everything finally adds up. God’s invitation is not for some time in the future, but is calling us today, now. If an invitation is for something greater, why delay in accepting it?

Even when we have not spoken everything in our prayers, God listens to those quiet sighs and silent tears, too. God is the present help, right in the middle of our mess. Grace doesn’t wait for a clean slate; it meets us in the middle of the clutter. Every whisper of surrender opens a door for Him to step in and take charge.

“Now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation.” We did not earn these NOWs. We only need to respond, and when we do, the weight lifts, and hope stirs again. Each step we take toward the Lord becomes a step away from strongholds. And gradually, the “now” starts to feel less frightening and more freeing.

We’re living in the NOW that God has already blessed, not yesterday’s regrets, not tomorrow’s plans. Just now. This heartbeat, this moment, this grace. And that is enough, not just for now, but for a lifetime.

after a long time of thinking about the past hurts, and worrying about the future, I have learnt that I can lean on God who is my ever present help in trouble. He is so faithful to me. Praise be to Him alone
