1 Chronicles 16:31
Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The Lord reigns!”
Remember the one prayer that you had at the beginning of this year. The one request that you placed before the Lord, trusting Him to be your provider, your strength, your refuge, your restorer, your vindicator, your deliverer, your hope, your joy, or anything and everything else that you needed.
We’re nearing the end of the year, but according to the Jewish calendar, we are heading towards the beginning of a new year. While you can find enough reasons why this year hasn’t yet turned out to be as you expected it to be, there are more than enough reasons to celebrate what the Lord has already done in our lives and; in faith, shout His praise for the glorious things that HE is about to do!
Let us sing to Him, tell of all His wonderful acts, remember the amazing things ways in which He has been faithful towards us. He is a God who remembers His covenant forever, the promise He made for a thousand generations. Behold, He is doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? He will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. (Is.43:19) The heavens are resounding with rejoicing and the earth is filled with gladness. Let the people of the Most High sing of His goodness, for OUR LORD REIGNS!
