In the hours just before Lord Jesus Christ knew that He was to be horribly tortured for hours and crucified, He had set His heart, to build faith, joy and peace in the hearts of His followers. In that kind of hour He was thinking of His disciples whose hearts were afraid, and troubled at the thought of separation from their master and the future. He didn’t want their life to be troubled or shaken by the events that were about to unfold. At an hour when Lord Jesus Christ was going to be torn and crushed, His mind was on the disciples and wanted for them to have peace. We have an amazing personal Savior!
Can you put yourself in the shoes of the Lord Jesus Christ? What would you be thinking about, if you were facing a life threatening situation? Is your heart devoid of peace, joy and faith as you face any volcanic personal or global crisis at hand?
The world’s peace is based on circumstances. God’s peace passes all human understanding and cannot be taken away.
