Perfected by His Love

Matthew 10:30-31 “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.” KJV

Our Lord is an exemplary creator. He has created the heavens, the earth and all that it contains. When we look at His creation, we are awestruck by the finesse and the beauty of it all. However, out of all that He created, He somehow takes a special interest in us. This is because He created us in His likeness. Every one of us is a unique creation of God, and therefore of great importance to Him. The above verse puts into perspective this very fact. 

We are blessed beyond measure and have His complete attention. As a matter of fact, our Lord considers us to be His treasures and are more precious to Him than all the other marvelous creations. Imagine the God who put together the spectacular constellation, the colourful birds, the beautiful fishes, the lovely flowers and the magnificent animals, positions us above all of them. 

You may not consider yourself worthy, but know that God takes immense pride in you. You are extremely important to Him and are His cherished possession. There is nothing you can do that will make Him treat you any different. Our God has nothing but eternal love for you. We see the love of God most clearly in the fact that he gave himself to us in His Son, Jesus Christ. Do you still feel ignored, worthless and lonely? If you have any more doubts, remember this fundamental truth that the Lord does not value you because Jesus Christ died for you on the cross. He died for you because He values you.
