Colossians 2:7: Rooted and built up in him and stablished in the faith as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.
Our roots are in Christ Jesus and our lives have to be built up in Him being established in faith. Thanksgiving should abound in us more than anything else. We have to learn to thank God for everything that we receive from Him, be it big or small or noticeable or unnoticeable or prayed for or unprayed for.
When we have our roots deep in Him, we will be nourished by His word as we meditate and study His word. A building remains firm only if the foundation is strong enough to hold it. For God’s people to be strong in the face of adversities, they need to be established in faith and abound in thanksgiving to God. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Even if what you hope for don’t happen, don’t give up faith. Even if you don’t see or have clear evidence of things that you hope for and want it happen, don’t give up faith. Be rooted and built up in Christ. Christ is your hope. Thank God even when you don’t want to thank Him. Nothing can ever separate you from the love of God.
Send your roots deep in Christ. Let God’s word strengthen you in the midst of confusion and hopelessness. Be established and firm in faith in God that He will make all things work for the good of them that love God. Never stop giving thanks to God under any circumstances. Be blesse
