Salvation through Jesus

John 3:17:  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Jesus came to the world to save sinners.  God’s word says that all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God.  Nobody is righteous or pure in the eyes of God.  God’s standards of holiness are far higher than man’s standards.  God wants us holy, righteous, and perfect.  It is impossible on our part to be all the three at the same time, therefore, Jesus had to come to die in our place and give us holiness, righteousness, and perfection.

Though Jesus has forgiven us and delivered us from being condemned, we are still so busy blaming and judging our fellow brothers and sisters.  We find it so hard to forgive someone who has wronged us.  We hardly have the attitude of Jesus Christ.  We give place to flesh in our lives rather than being controlled by the Spirit of God.  Jesus came so that the world might be saved through Him.  Jesus accepted everyone who came to Him.  He is quick to forgive and heal.

Let us keep in mind the ministry of Jesus and share the good news that He loves people as they are.  Show to the world that Jesus died in our place so that we could be saved and go to heaven.  There is no better good news than this, i.e., Jesus willing to welcome us with open hands and accepting us as we are without condemning us provided we believe and trust in Him.  Let us go to Jesus now with a heart of confidence and assurance that He will accept us as we are.
