Psalm 118:16  The right hand of the Lord is exalted; The right hand of the Lord does valiantly.

David was only a teenager, when his father sent him on an errand that was to change his life.

Lunch in hand, David marched to the battlefield with instructions to deliver food to his brothers, while they hid behind rocks, instead of following instructions to fight the war. Goliath issued a challenge to anyone in the camp of Israel to fight him in battle. But, the Israelite soldiers were too afraid of this colossus of a man.

For forty days, Goliath stood in the valley between the two camps and challenged an Israelite to a fight. But, no one had stood up to represent Israel.

That particular day was going to be different. When David heard Goliath’s challenge, he asked “For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?” – 1 Samuel 17:26

David knew that God’s hand would deliver him from a Philistine of any size.

He marched into the valley with just a sling in hand, five stones in pocket, and a God of miracles by his side.

In the blink of an eye, David knocked down Goliath with a sling shot that hit him right on his forehead.

When the hand of God is on our life Great Triumph is certainly ours. “For the battle is the Lord’s” – 1 Samuel 17:47
