II Timothy 2:2: Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
While some seek to be strong in the riches and favour that this life can offer, Paul exhorts Timothy to be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Trials and tests come our way, but the grace of God will carry us through. We need to be strong in the grace that is in Christ. If Christ lives in us, then it definitely means His grace is also in us. Then, if His grace is in us, we don’t have to be bewildered by the storm outside. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. The grace of God will sustain you and carry you in your weaknesses. God’s grace doesn’t condemn you but will discipline you and make you stronger day by day to be rooted in Christ.
We just need to be strong in Him. When we are strong in Him or in His grace, we can stay put with anything that comes our way. God’s grace is enough in our sickness, defeat, shame, trauma, etc., etc. We won’t be sinking in crisis forever but will rise up victoriously because He is victorious and His grace does wonders for those who choose to stay strong in Him.
