The Faithfulness of God

Deuteronomy 7:9 – “Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.”

It’s a universal rule that you reap what you sow. The world believes that when you do something right, you will be rewarded. And when you do something wrong, you will be punished. It is only in the Bible that God rewards the righteous and gives the wicked a chance to repent of their misdeeds, turn to Him and still receive a good eternal reward.

The old covenant demanded a blood sacrifice every time a person sinned. In the new covenant, the Lord Jesus Himself became the sacrifice for each of our sins. We now get to experience the full extent of the Lord’s mercy, no matter how tainted our past may be.

Do you feel you’re too messed up, and nobody can ever understand you? The Lord Jesus does. He sees you as you are, He understands what you’re going through and He’s provided a way out for you. When you believe in Him and surrender your life to Him, He makes an eternal covenant with you. You only have to love Him and walk in His ways. He gives you the Holy Spirit to guide you every step of the way. His blessing and mercy will follow you all the days of your life.
