The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him. Psalms 28:7
Love, this 1 syllable word can do a lot. Love in today’s world has been diluted and corrupted at so many levels so much so that the essence of love is lost. But thanks to Jesus, His children will never fall short of His relentless and reckless love. So the truth is Jesus loves us perfectly. Through the nature of His perfect love, God reveals His forgiveness, discipline, protection, provision, grace, mercy and liberation.
Psalms 28:7 says ‘The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.’
To understand this verse, let us take a look at the bible from a 360 degree view. As we soak ourselves in the richness of His word, we come to understand that love and God go hand in hand. The bible is more like a love story with letters of love revealing itself through different forms of emotions. The first half of the verse declares the Lord is my strength and my shield; proving that only God can come through the way He does, followed by how David was helped because of the trust he placed in God and therefore he will give thanks to the Lord with a song of praise.
Dear brothers and sisters, let us understand today that our God is a God of perfect love. Let His perfect love control our hearts as we sing new songs of praise to please our Abba father, trusting Him to keep our hearts as He strengthens us and keeps us from falling.
