The Second Touch

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Have you sought a second touch from God?

When Jesus entered the town of Bethsaida, people brought a blind man to Him. They begged Jesus to touch him because they knew that one touch from Jesus was enough to heal him. Their faith was appreciable, but Jesus led the man outside the village to heal him.

Why wouldn’t Jesus perform the miracle in front of people with such faith? After all, He healed the paralyzed man in Capernaum in front of his friends. The Bible says, When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”” – Luke 2:5

Yet, in Bethsaida Jesus would not perform the miracle in front of the people who brought the blind man to Him. On exiting the village, Jesus touched the blind man once but his vision was only partially restored. He needed a second touch to recover his vision fully.

Sometimes people around may begin to doubt a miracle when you require a second touch. Stay in faith! Don’t let the murmurs of faithlessness lead you away from the second touch!

When God created Adam, He touched mankind and blessed us with the greatest gift of all – life. But sin crept in and with it came death. It took a second touch, a second Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45) to bring restoration and salvation to the world.

Never underestimate the power of the second touch! It will transform your life completely!
