Isaiah 43:1: But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, fear not for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
God is the one who created and formed us. He says He has redeemed us and called us by our name. God wants to declare His ownership over us, His creation.
We are the workmanship of our Creator. We are His wonderful masterpiece. Only a owner has every right over His created things. God made us in His own image. God gave us His character and nature. He will ensure that nobody will harm us or cause any harm to us as long as we stay committed to Him. We are His. He has called us by name. God loves to address His children by their names. How wonderful we feel when our parents or family or friends call us by our own names right? Those who love us never address us by weird names. We all have names and it is a good feeling to be called by our names. God calls us by name as a mark of His authority and His ownership over us.
God knows our frame and our make. He knows us even before we were formed carefully in our mother’s womb. He knows our beginning and the end. He created as well as formed us. He has bought us with His precious blood and redeemed us. There is nothing that can separate us from the love of God. Let us remain strong in His love for us.
