Mark 2:4:  And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was; and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

This scripture portion talks about the faith of four friends who were willing to see their friend healed up against all odds.  Nothing seemed to be in their favour, but still they fought every tooth and nail.  Jesus healed this man of palsy based on the faith of his friends.  They let this sick man through the roof of the house that Jesus was preaching.

All we need to do sometimes is an act of faith.  God works not only through prayers of faith but also acts of faith.  If we say we have faith but do not put it into action, then our faith is a dead faith.  James says that faith without action is dead.  We need to prove our faith in God by proving it to Him through our action.  Against all odd circumstances, those four men let their friend in  through the roof.  There was  a big crowd inside the house, but that did not seem to obstruct their faith.  They were desperate on getting the attention of Jesus over their friend.  Jesus healed the man with palsy.  His friends took a risk of lowering him down and their action filled with faith gave them a very good reward.

We have to be willing to take some chances and risks in our spiritual walk with God.  Let us have an attitude of worshipping and believing God even when things don’t look green any longer on our side.  Have an attitude of gratitude and continue believing in God for greater things in your life.
