Proverbs 19:20: Hear counsel and receive instruction that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
It is always better to be trained in godly counsel and instruction when we are young in order for us to be wise towards our latter days. Children ought to be trained in the ways of God so that they will not go astray. The way we train our children is the way they will live later on.
Parents hardly have any time to sit down with their loved, young ones and teach them the ways of God. They are pampered with money and gifts but without God. The Bible also says to train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it. So we know why children grow up to be adults and then take on a different course in life. Their foundation was not right. They did not have a good start early in their life. They are left to make their own choices in life as they grow older. We are directly responsible for influencing our children in the ways of God and to teach them to respect and obey God and elders. If we do this, we will see many more mighty men and women of God arising for God in such a corrupted and a sinful world.
Let us start counseling and give instruction to our younger generation in the way that they should be going. Let us help someone walk in the ways of God as we ourselves stay firm and strong in our faith in God.
