“All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O Lord, When they hear the words of Your mouth. Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, For great is the glory of the Lord.”
Psalms 138:4-5
It is an open truth that the Holy Bible is not just a book of information but a book of transformation since time memorial. For anyone reading the Bible for the first time can make them wonder which book to start from. Considering every book in the Bible has its own relevance and the power to change lives, the book of Psalms is one such book.
In Psalms, we find the words that express our deepest and strongest emotions no matter what the circumstance is. The Psalms become a mirror to God’s people in our quest to experience God’s presence. Let’s start with praise, a large portion of the Psalms, written by King David was attributed to praise. When we see the evolution of praise we come to understand, what an awesome God we have who is worthy of all our praise.
As children of God, our standard of praise comes from an everlasting God who created everything visible and invisible to man. King David praised God even in unfavourable situations because he knew he served an able God who is faithful to those who seek Him with all their
heart. Let everything that has life praise God, for every word that God said is true and His glory is incomparable.
