Psalm 96:7

Give to the Lord, O families of the peoples, give to the Lord glory and strength.

What we give to the Lord and how we offer it reveal the place God truly holds in our lives. Oftentimes, we find ourselves so busy that we fail to find time to pray or even speak to the Lord. At other times, we may have walked away from God because of a life event that broke us beyond reason. Yet none of these moments change the sovereignty or glory of God. He is, He was, and He will always be.

The beauty of the gospel lies in this truth: God so loved the world (which includes us and everything we carry within us—be it shame, guilt, depression, or anger) that He gave His only Son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

What an amazing and undeserved love we have received from God! No one can truly fathom the depths of His love. We can never repay Him for His sacrifice on the cross or for His grace that redeems humanity. But we are called to continually remind ourselves, and the generations after us, of the goodness of God we enjoy and the greatness of the God we serve.

Never take His grace for granted, for it came at a great cost. His strength is beyond human comprehension, and He is far greater than our circumstances, our struggles, or our busyness. Let us choose to give God first place in our lives—above anything and anyone—for the kingdom, the power, and the glory belong to Him and Him alone!
