Joshua 23:14
You know in all your hearts and in all your souls that not one thing has failed of all the good things which the Lord your God spoke concerning you. All have come to pass for you; not one word of them has failed.
At the close of his life, Joshua didn’t speak like a philosopher searching for meaning. He spoke like a soldier who had seen God’s hand through deserts, wars, failures, and victories. He declared with confidence that not one word of God’s promises had failed.
Joshua had watched promises made to Abraham centuries earlier unfold before his eyes. God did not forget. He did not abandon His people halfway. Every word landed exactly where He intended. His faithfulness is flawless. Economies may shake, people may disappoint, but God’s covenant stands unbroken. Faithfulness is His nature. Even if we are faithless, the Bible tells us that He remains faithful.
Many believers carry promises while wrestling with delays and unanswered prayers. Joshua’s testimony reminds us: delay is not denial. God often prepares the heart while He prepares the answer. The same God who opened rivers, brought down walls, and preserved Israel still works with perfect precision today. Nothing about your situation intimidates Him – not your fear, not your lack, not your timeline.
A seed buried in soil looks forgotten, but in time it breaks through with life. God’s promises may feel hidden, yet they are quietly growing toward fulfillment.
Consider writing a promise journal with Scriptures that strengthen you. Record answered prayers, unexpected provisions, and undeniable moments of God’s hand. When doubt whispers, open those pages. It becomes a weapon against unbelief. God has never misplaced a promise. Not once. And He will not begin with you. His Word remains steady, even when everything else shifts.
