Psalm 103:22
Bless the Lord, all His works, in all places of His dominion. Bless the Lord, O my soul!
In Psalm 103:22, King David, a man after God’s own heart, calls on God’s marvellous creation to praise Him. Everything that God created has a unique beauty and a purpose behind its design. David recognises the magnificence of creation, the creativity in its design, and the depth of God’s love revealed through it. And it causes him to respond with awe and praise.
In the midst of our busy schedules – filled with work, studies, and responsibilities – it’s important to take time to appreciate what God has created for us to enjoy. When we pause and look around, we realise that we’re surrounded by the beauty of God’s creation – the rich diversity of colours, details, and wonders that reflect His greatness.
As we observe His handiwork and the brilliance behind a perfectly functioning universe, we begin to understand the wisdom and excellence of our Creator. This inspires us to pursue excellence in the work we do as well.
Furthermore, a heart of gratitude opens our eyes to things we may not have identified as blessings of God. So, let’s take time to appreciate God’s goodness in creation. Then our hearts will overflow with gratitude for the One who deserves all our praise.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for the beauty of Your creation. We see Your love reflected in the way You have designed and decorated the universe. Help us enjoy Your creation to the fullest and appreciate the wonderful things You have done for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
