I John 5:4: For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Everyone who believes in God is a child of God. When we are born again, we are born into the kingdom of God. When we are born in the spirit, we thereby inherit spiritual blessings. Our spirit becomes alive and gets activated with the spirit of God. When we are thus born, we can overcome the world.
On our own, we cannot overcome the world. The world has lots of temptations and lots of ways to drive us away from God. The moment we are born into the kingdom of God, we become God’s children. We will have the Spirit of God dwelling in us. It is through His strength that we will be able to overcome the lusts and passions of this sinful world. He helps us realize the good and the bad things of the world. Good things refer to the things that God considers as good. It is written that whatsoever is born of God, overcometh the world. Overcome means to prevail over. No matter what a child of God has to face in this world, he or she is an overcomer. They will prevail over all struggles and defeats and challenges and come out victoriously. The faith that we have in Christ Jesus will surely help us prevail and overcome the world.
Never lose faith in God. Hold on to Him because He is the author and the finisher of our faith. He has set a good example of His life here on earth. Be strong in your faith and be a victorious overcomer.
