Our Refuge!

Isaiah 25:4

For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is a storm against the wall.

Who has experienced the hand of the Lord? In times of distress, shock, unpredictability, homelessness, loneliness, barrenness or just a disappointment. What have we experienced in times like these? Our flesh becomes weak and our spirits keeps turning to the Lord. Our flesh looks outward for any form of comfort or consolation of any kind and the spirit looks for the word of the Lord and meaning in the place we cannot see. A faith develops within us and a battle we fight seeking a refuge, a shelter, a place we could again feel that same assurance. In times like these; we ought to be most careful. In the weakest hours of the night stands the darkness of the world ready to devour us and trap us for a moment but might leave a long lasting scar that will hinder our walk with the Lord.

It’s not easy for the flesh neither for us to understand how to discern and decipher. But speak out and think out loud words of wisdom that only comes from the word. Rest in his blessed assurance and wait on him like a shepherd tending to his flock even with the beaten weather against him. For when the storms have passed lies the low lying pastures of his grace to comfort you and take you to a place he has made ready. Do not fret of the situation at hand for the Lord who you trust will come to your rescue if you only rest in him and abide in him. Do not abide or rest on your phone or an entertainment of any kind for he alone can take you through. A place where you will know his utmost grace, his loving kindness and his protection over you.  Places where he will help you find you.

Do not loose heart sister! The good Lord knows it all. At times we just need to embrace his presence and in it we will find our answer.
