Job 42:2 – “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted.”
Job was one righteous man in the Bible who remained faithful to God under the most trying adversities. He lost his possessions, his family and his health but still held on to God. We can learn a lot from Job’s life. God honored Job in the end by restoring everything he had lost. In fact, God gave him twice as much as he had before. Isn’t that a blessing?
So how did Job remain faithful to God amid his suffering. He must have felt depressed and even questioned God at times. But He did not question God’s authority over his life. He knew God was in control, and as difficult as it might have been, he knew God had a purpose behind it all. We can gauge the faith he had when he spoke the verse above. He knew, beyond any doubt, that God could do all things. No plan of God’s could be thwarted.
Do you have that confidence? If you’re looking for God’s purpose in your life, you don’t have to go very far. You just need to look into your Bible! God created you in His likeness, to live an abundant life for His glory. He has given you wisdom and skills to accomplish His purpose in your life. Surrender your life to Christ and He will fulfill His great plans for your life.
