Blessings with Humility

Proverbs 18:12

Before destruction the heart of a man is haughty, and before honor is humility. (NKJV)

King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon lost his position, his power, his riches and even his senses to his pride. He assumed that the greatness of his kingdom was due to his power, might and glory. He fell from victory to void, grace to grass and from sanity to insanity. Later, God restored everything when Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged God and His greatness.

The Bible says, “God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.” How can we be humble and invite God’s grace and blessings into our lives? Here are a few points that can help us check our humility graph.

Humility is knowing that we owe our very existence to God Almighty.

Humility is thanking God for everything.

Humility is understanding that we are weak, but we can do all things through Lord Jesus.

Humility is considering others better than yourselves!

Humility is being kind, compassionate and forgiving.

Humility doesn’t mean being timid but it is strength under control.

Being humble makes way for the Holy Spirit to guide you according to God’s will, so let us humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and be obedient to His most holy word, so that at the right time He may exalt us.

Let go of the pride so we will not miss the blessings in store for us.
