Knowledge Empowers Faith

Isaiah 40:28

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable.”

There’s a popular quote that says, “Knowledge is power”. It’s true that if we want to succeed in our lives, we must always have the desire to learn and grow in various aspects of our lives. We learn new techniques for work. We try to understand our friends and family so we can have peaceful relationships. We learn about our Lord Jesus Christ, His love for us, and His plans for our lives.

The knowledge we gain as we read the Bible and spend more time in God’s presence can boost our faith. We can store up a treasury of what we know about God and His character, so we have something to rely on when the rough days come and our faith runs dry. Today’s verse gives us a sampling of what we need to know about God.

Worried about your future? Remember that the Lord who created you has a unique purpose for your life. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is Lord. He’s powerful enough to control the universe while also answering your heart’s cry. God has good plans for your life. Even if your life isn’t unfolding the way you expected right now, you can be assured that God, in His great wisdom, is working things out for your good and His glory.

      Dear Sister,

We pray that the Lord will bless your husband, grant you both good health, and unite your family with His love. May God Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you (1 Peter 5:10).
