Rise Again

Proverbs 24:16

A righteous man may fall seven times and rise again, but the wicked shall fall by calamity.

Life is not without its stumbles. Even the most faithful and righteous will fall, not once, but many times. The beauty of this verse lies not in the fall, but in the rising. Failures do not define the righteous, but resilience does. Their strength is not in perfection, but in persistence.

Falling seven times is symbolic; it means repeatedly, again and again. But each time, the righteous rise. Why? Because their hope is not in themselves, but in the One who upholds them. Their foundation is not shaken by failure because it is built on the unshakable character of God.

In contrast, the wicked fall into calamity and remain there. Without the anchor of God’s grace, there is no rising, no restoration.

Have you fallen recently – spiritually, emotionally, or morally? Are you tempted to stay down, believing you’ve failed too many times?

Let this verse remind you: God’s grace is greater than your fall. Get up. Try again. Trust again. Walk again. The righteous rise, not because they are strong, but because their God is faithful to lift them.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your mercy that lifts me when I fall. Help me not to be discouraged by my failures, but to rise again in Your strength. Teach me to trust in Your grace more than my own ability. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
