Psalms 105:3
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
This psalm praises God for His wonderful works among His chosen people throughout history. David also used this psalm to give thanks to the Lord when he brought the ark to Jerusalem (1 Chronicles 16:7-10).
God invites us to find joy and confidence by focusing on His holy character rather than our changing circumstances. Seeking God helps us celebrate His eternal nature and brings us inner peace. However, even this simple act may seem difficult. Digital distractions and the rapid growth of technology often take our attention away from God and keep us from seeking the truth.
The world offers many pleasures, but these pleasures cannot give us the lasting joy and peace that God gives. Therefore, we must be careful about the things that control our thoughts and desires. Worldly pleasures may give us temporary happiness, but they can also draw us away from God and His blessings.
God’s faithfulness did not end with Abraham, Joseph, or the Israelites. He continues to be faithful to His people and invites us to seek Him today. When we face difficulties, God remains ready to protect and strengthen us. The enemy may create plans and schemes against us, but God gives us the strength to overcome. Furthermore, He restores our courage and reminds us that He watches over His children.
Today, let us spend a few minutes seeking the face of our Lord Jesus, who paid the ransom for us. Let us turn our hearts away from worldly distractions and toward Him, so He can fill us with the joy and peace that the world cannot give.
