Thankfulness

II Chronicles 29:13:  Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

David and the people of Israel gave willingly to the temple of God.  They gave out of their wealth, treasure, abilities to God.  David is therefore thanking God for the gifts that the people gave for the work of God’s temple.

We should serve God with our time, talent, and treasure.  God has given us these resources so that they will be employed for use in the Kingdom work.  Don’t waste your time or talent or treasure for vain and worthless things of the world.  The more you dedicate yourself to serve God in and through the local church, the more God will bless you.  God is not a debtor to anyone.  When we serve God faithfully with all that we have, God will reward us back accordingly.  Use all that you have for the work of God.  If you have not used any of your abilities so far for God, use it now, use it today.  As soon as David asked the people to give, they gave willingly.  There was no force or pressure upon them to give to the service of God.  They gave it because they loved the God of Israel.

Are you keeping back anything from God today? Are you hesitating or feeling awkward to be of service to God or give your talents for Kingdom work? Remember one thing that it is never too late to get set and work for God.  Have a thankful heart when God fights for you and blesses you with everything that you need.
