Revelation 4:11 NIV
You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power.
Today’s verse offers a beautiful, panoramic view of why we are actually here. God created all things, and His will brought us into existence and continues to sustain our lives. At its core, this verse is a powerful answer to the modern identity crisis.
We spend so much of our lives asking, What is my purpose? or trying to invent our own meaning for life. But this Scripture gently reminds us that our lives are not random accidents, nor are they projects we must figure out on our own. Our Creator lovingly brought us into existence and desired us to be here.
Psalm 24:1 says, “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.” This truth reminds us that God has not burdened us with the task of owning or fixing the world. Instead, He has entrusted us with caring for it on His behalf. That perspective lightens the load we often place on ourselves.
This hope becomes even richer when we consider Colossians 1:17: “In Him all things hold together.” When your personal world feels like it is breaking apart—whether through stress, loss, or exhaustion—you do not have to struggle alone. The same God who sustains the universe is faithfully holding your life together as well.
Isaiah 43:7 declares that God made us for His glory. To live for His glory means we discover our deepest joy when our lives reflect His heart. When you realize that God created you with intention and sustains you by His love, life shifts from a weary struggle into a meaningful, daily walk with your Creator.
