Unmatchable Perfection

Psalm 18:30 – As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. (KJV)

What beautiful words can come out of our mouth when we are grateful. David spoke these beautiful words of praise to the God he loved, after Saul tried to kill him. While escaping, David fled to Naioth and stayed there with Samuel, the prophet. And when Saul in his jealous anger pursued David in Naioth, the Spirit of God was so powerful and so present, that even Saul began to prophesy! What a change of scenario when the presence of the Almighty God surrounds us.

David out of pure joy and gratitude from being delivered from death, burst into praising the God of Israel, the God who delivered him from all his enemies, the God of his salvation. He starts by saying: “ I love you, O LORD, my strength.” (Psalm 18:1)

David knew that God’s way is perfect, he believed in the promises of God, in every word that came out of the mouth of the LORD, that every word that the LORD spoke would come to pass.

David believed in the mighty strength of God, he knew that God was his rock, his fortress, his shield, his stronghold, his righteousness, his deliverer, his reward.

David trusted God’s perfect ways, perfect methods, perfect doings, perfect works.

David knew that God was not going to fail him. David trusted that there was no one like our God, who was like a sun and a shield, a source of strength and power and protection.

David could only sing praises to our God, exalt him among the nations, because of his unfailing kindness, not only to David, but to us, his descendants forever.  Amen!
