Jeremiah 31:3
Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.
Today’s verse reminds us that the love of God is not temporary or conditional, nor does it depend on our circumstances. The love of God is everlasting – in other words, unlimited, with neither a beginning nor an end.
The Lord’s love is not based on our performance, strength, or loyalty, but on His unchanging nature. When we fail, struggle with doubts, or grow tired, God does not pull back His love from us. Rather, He pulls us to Himself in mercy and faithfulness.
This verse also reminds us that God’s faithfulness flows from His love. Because His love for us is constant, He does not forsake us in times of waiting, suffering, or silence. His promises hold true, and His presence remains with us in every season of our journey.
Do you feel far from God today? Be assured – His love has not faded. God remains faithful and present, and He is holding you in His arms. God loves you.
Lent is a time to reflect on God’s great love for us that was manifested on the cross of Calvary. Take a few minutes to thank God for drawing you towards Him with lovingkindness day after day.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Help me trust in Your faithfulness even when I feel distant or unsure. Draw my heart closer to You and remind me daily that Your love never fails. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
