Hold on to the anchor

Philippians 4:6 – Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

This verse is very encouraging and complements so well when our hearts are drawn by the perils of this world. It rejuvenates us and replenishes the hope of continuing to be hopeful. Walk on and don’t give up. Don’t worry about anything for in everything prayer is the answer. The anchor to stop looking for answers and stop asking questions. An anchor that just gives you that support and that guidance. It’s the peace of the anchor that stops you from looking into the future with anxious eyes and anxious thoughts. Only when we rest in his peace and quietness of his word we will find the reassurance, the peace of Jesus will flow through us into the issue of what we face. Whilst we continue depending on that peace the issue at hand will no more be the mountain of your life. In fact, it becomes a seed; a seed that will move further mountains and sow further seed in others lives. So be the seed and move the mountain. But remember the anchor of prayer and dependence on the peace of Jesus will only bear fruit.
