Rest In His Promise

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee. Numbers 6:24-25 KJV

The above verse is a blessed assurance from God. God is speaking to us, through the above verse and making a promise. He promises to bestow upon us many kinds of blessings, both material and spiritual.  He further promises to keep us safe and protect us from all evil. He promises to keep us shielded under His mighty wings so that no harm may befall us.

The second part of the verse goes on to say that the Lord will make His face shine upon us and be  gracious to us, which means that His favor is going to be so abundant in our lives, that anyone who sees us will know that we belong to the  Great one. He is going to make His love for us, known to all.

This is the covenant that our God has made with His children. Matthew 24:35 says “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away”. This is the sincerity of God`s word.  He is faithful and never-changing.  We may be going through some hardships in our personal lives. Certain struggles and challenges that we may be able to share with anyone. But let us not despair. Instead prophesy the promise of our Lord in our lives and wait on the Lord.  His promise will see us through.

Let us pray, O Loving Father. Thank you for your promises and your immense grace upon my life. It is your promise that has brought me this far and your steadfast love that has kept me firm. Your word is the lamp to my feet and light to my path. Today I submit every problem, every anxiety and every situation unto you and rest in your promises. I cannot thank you enough for all that you have done. In Jesus Name I pray, Amen!
