“The Throne of Grace”

Hebrews 4:16“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

There is absolutely nothing God does not know about us. Nothing. He knows us from the beginning of Creation, He knows our thoughts. And His thoughts are not like ours. “His word is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.  Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:12-13).

And He is God. Seated on a Throne. A throne by which you and I will approach, and will give account of everything we have done. No exceptions. Scary?

The good and wonderful news, is that His only Son, Jesus, Who is at the right hand of God the Father, knows us too! He is a High Priest Who knows our weaknesses, our sins, our shortcomings, all the stuff that would make us feel unworthy and unable to approach this Great and Mighty King.

When we approach the Throne of Grace, we can approach it with confidence and boldly, because of Whom we know. We need not to be scared, but we must approach His Throne with reverence, confidence and faith, because our God is a good God, full of mercy, and compassion, and grace!  After all, His Throne is called the Throne of Grace.  From it Grace flows, invading every part of us: our soul, our spirit, our joints, our marrow, our thoughts, our hearts, our attitude, our entire being.

Praise God for He has a marvelous plan for us!  Praise Him for His Grace!  Praise Him for His Mercy which He gives us freely both now and forevermore!
